Lorraine Watton

Lorraine started dancing at the age of 19, joining adult classes at Hawley’s School of Dance, Birmingham where she completed her IDTA Medal Exams from Bronze through to Star 5 in Ballroom and Latin American Dance whilst also helping out then teaching for a number of years at the school until it unfortunately closed in 1991.

At this time, aged just 32 she embarked on her teaching journey within another school, Lorraine decided it was about high time that she studied for her Professional Qualifications and achieved her Associate in Latin American, Country Line and Ballroom Dance where she is very proud to say that she was nominated for 'The John Dilworth Scholarship Award' in this branch. Since then she has qualified at Licentiate Level in both the Latin American and Ballroom branches and continues to study for her own professional development, towards Fellowship in both these and other branches.

Lorraine runs Children’s and Adult classes at various locations across the West Midlands as well as training students in competition work and obtaining their own professional qualifications.
